Free-ish since 1865 - A Juneteenth Celebration

After the issuing of the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, not all enslaved people immediately found freedom.  CELEBRATE JUNETEENTH, a celebration held annually on the nineteenth of June to commemorate African American emancipation from slavery in Texas in 1865.  

Join us for taking time to reflect on our rich history of being overcommers from all the way back then, spoken word, a few tasty treats significant to the Juneteenth holiday and the rich company of others in attendance while having an opportunity to create a beautiful piece of art that will allow you to reflect on this special day.

This event is free and open to the public however, REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
